Playstyle

Hades's Boons do not cater to a specific play style, but instead lean towards helping you take down Chronos. You can fine tune your build with Hades's offensive or defensive Boons, depending on your needs.

If you think you already have the perfect build to take on Chronos, you can even take the Old Grudge Boon to shave off a percentage of Chronos's Life right off the bat!

Synergies

Hades's Boons are designed to work well with almost all Boons and Nocturnal Arms. Each Boon can be plugged into a majority of builds to provide more damage or survivability in preparation for the final battle.

Hades Backstory

New Father to Melinoe

After the reconciliation of both Persephone and Zagreus, Hades' family somehow overcame their past wounds and mended their relationship for the better.

This led to the birth of Melinoe, the youngest addition to the House of Hades. As the family grew, little did they know the plots schemed by Chronos to hold them captive.

Ruler of Hell, Prisoner of Chronos

Hades is the all-powerful ruler of the Underworld and leader of the House of Hades, which is considered the personal quarters of Lord Hades himself.

In Hades 2, Hades has been imprisoned by his father Chronos. The Titan of Time has escaped imprisonment and waged war against the Olympians.

Hades' Reunion with Melinoe

As you progress the game and reach the region of Tartarus, you will later encounter Hades chained and dressed in rags. He is accompanied by his three-headed beast known as Cerberus.

Melinoe doesn't recognize him at first, but later realizes that it's her father she is speaking with. As she proposes to free her father, Hades warns Melinoe not to proceed and provides Melinoe with his Boons.

God of the Underworld

Hades was widely known as the god of the underworld and ruler of the dead. He governs the Underworld as an agreement with his brothers that each of them rules a physical realm of the Earth.

In contrast to his depiction in popular media, Hades was never known to be evil. He holds a high regard between the mortal and spiritual realms.

This led to his unyielding dedication to rule the Underworld and uphold the laws that guide the inhabiting spirits of his realm.
