The God Mode option provides less challenge for struggling players progressing through Hades 2. Read on to learn what is God Mode, how to turn on God Mode, and the disadvantages of God Mode in Hades 2.

What is God Mode?

Easier Option For Players

Hades II - Are There Disadvantages to Using God Mode Damage Resistance
God Mode is for players who are having difficulty progressing through the default difficulty of the game. If you turn on the God Mode option when starting the game, you will receive 20% damage resistance.

You will also receive an additional 2% damage resistance for every instance you die in the game, which stacks up the 20% damage resistance you already have.

This mode enables players to get stronger each time they die in the game, enabling them to progress through the game even with its established difficulty.

Damage Resistance Maxes Out at 80%

Hades II - Are There Disadvantages to Using God Mode Damage Resistance 80
Since the damage resistance in God Mode stacks up, you will only be able to max out the damage resistance up to 80% in the game. Any succeeding deaths will not give you additional damage resistance.

Turning Off God Mode Will Remove Damage Resistance Earned

Hades II - Are There Disadvantages to Using God Mode Turn the Option On and Off
If you decide to turn off God Mode after you've stacked up your damage resistance in the game, you will lose all the damage resistance you've stacked throughout your progress.

Turning the option back on will give you back the damage resistance you've earned, so you will not have to start the process all over when you need to stack up damage resistance.

God Mode May Not Lock You Out of Achievements

If Hades 2 follows a similar trend to Hades, then God Mode will still allow players to unlock achievements even if the option is activated throughout your progress.

Disadvantages of Using God Mode

Less Challenge For Players

God Mode allows players to enjoy the game without the needed skillset to progress through the roguelike levels of Hades 2. This option will reduce the difficulty of the game and allow fledgling players to enjoy the story.

While God Mode provides a needed advantage for first-time players, the option takes away the established difficulty set by the game that challenges players to improve their their skills with each level progression.
