Preparing for Life in Vermillius Objectives

15 Iron Ingot
10 Particle Capacitor

To complete Preparing for Life in Vermillius you will need all items listed above.

1. Upgrading the Mining Tool

Cutteray Mk1

The first step of this questline is to research and fabricate the Cutteray Mk1, in the Construction Tab of the Research Menu. In preparation for making the Holtzman Shield Mk2, collect Iron Ore with the Cutteray Mk1 in the Vermillius Gap, then refine it into Iron Ingots.

2. Holtzman Shield

Holtzman Shield Mk2

Return to the Research Menu and unlock the Holtzman Shield Mk2 under the Combat Tab. Using the Iron Ingots, fabricate and equip the Holtzman Shield. To end the quest, activate it with the H key.
