Fizzle prevents an enemy from casting spells, effectively stopping any status ailments they might try to inflict. It’s especially useful against bosses or magic-heavy enemies, letting your party act without worrying about Sleep, Poison, or Confusion.
Use Fizzle strategically before enemy’s turn to preemptively block dangerous spells and keep your party safe.
If a character is put to sleep, they will wake up automatically after a few turns. While asleep, the character cannot act, so manage your party carefully to avoid being vulnerable. Sleep leaves the character fully defenseless until they wake.
A character that's been put to sleep will also wake up if hit by a physical attack, but you shouldn't rely on this happening since enemies can still attack other party members or use a magical attack instead.

To cure Poison, Paralysis, or Confusion, you can use items. Using items is often preferable since it saves MP for other abilities.
Antidotal herbs and other consumables can remove status effects and restore your party’s effectiveness in battle.

Equipping certain gear can help prevent or reduce the chance of being afflicted by status effects. While not all gear protects against every ailment, using accessories or armor with status resistance can make tough battles more manageable.
Gear with status resistance is especially useful during long dungeon runs or battles with multiple enemies that inflict ailments.

For persistent or dangerous statuses like Curse and Poison, visiting a church can fully remove the ailment. Visiting a church is also helpful for curing multiple party members at once.

Certain spells in can remove or heal status ailments during battle. These spells allow you to restore a character’s ability to act without using items, making them essential when MP is available or when items are scarce.
