Revive party members by using an Yggdrasil Leaf or by casting Zing in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined (DQ7). See all the ways to resurrect dead party members and learn what happens when you die here!
In other mainline Dragon Quest titles, an Yggdrasil Leaf can be used during battle to instantly revive a fallen party member, though this item has not yet been shown or confirmed in the DQ7 Reimagined demo.
Because it works instantly, Yggdrasil Leaves are best saved for critical moments, such as boss fights or when your healer is down.

In previous mainline Dragon Quest games, Zing and Kazing are resurrection spells that allow characters to revive fallen party members during battle, but these spells are not yet present or confirmed in the DQ7 Reimagined demo.
These spells consume MP and may vary in reliability depending on the spell used, making timing and MP management important. Using resurrection spells lets you save valuable items, but you’ll need to ensure the caster stays alive long enough to bring others back.

If a party member is knocked out during combat, they may revive automatically after the battle ends with 1 HP. While this prevents permanent loss, the revived character will be extremely vulnerable and should be healed immediately.

If your entire party is wiped out, you can choose to spawn either from your last major location or last save-related location. This allows you to continue playing, but respawning from your last major location will cost you half your currently held gold.

You may also have the option to retry the previous battle immediately. This lets you jump straight back into the fight without traveling, but it will also cost you half the current gold you have.
