How to Revive Party Members

Add to Watchlist

DQ7 - How to Revive Party Members

Revive party members by using an Yggdrasil Leaf or by casting Zing in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined (DQ7). See all the ways to resurrect dead party members and learn what happens when you die here!

How to Revive Party Members

Use An Yggdrasil Leaf

An Yggdrasil Leaf can be used during battle to instantly revive a fallen party member, though this item appears to be rare in the game, so it's best to manage your team properly still.

Because it works instantly, Yggdrasil Leaves are best saved for critical moments, such as boss fights or when your healer is down.

Cast Resurrection Spells

Skill Type Effect
Zing Recovery Recovery Resurrects a fallen ally. Not guaranteed to work.
Angel Song Recovery Recovery A rejuvenating number that revives a fallen ally and restores their MP. Not guaranteed to work.
Kazing Recovery Recovery Resurrects a fallen ally with a 100% success rate.
Kerplunk Dance Recovery Recovery A frantic dance that can revive a fallen party member. Not guaranteed to work.
Kazap Recovery Recovery Resurrects a fallen ally with a 100% success rate.

The table above lists all the resurrection spells that allow characters to revive fallen party members during battle, but some of these spells do not guarantee a 100% success rate.

These spells consume MP and may vary in reliability depending on the spell used, making timing and MP management important. Using resurrection spells lets you save valuable items, but you’ll need to ensure the caster stays alive long enough to bring others back.

Party Members Revive With 1 HP After Battle

dead girl

If a party member is knocked out during combat, they will revive automatically after the battle ends with 1 HP. While this prevents permanent loss, the revived character will be extremely vulnerable and should be healed immediately.

If your entire party is wiped out, you can choose to spawn either from your last major location or last save-related location. This allows you to continue playing, but respawning from your last major location will cost you half your currently held gold.

Retry Previous Battle

Lose Half Your Gold

You may also have the option to retry the previous battle immediately. This lets you jump straight back into the fight without traveling, but it will also cost you half the current gold you have.
