How to Level Up Vocational Proficiency Fast
Change Difficulty Level to Easy Going
The first thing you should do is set your difficulty level to Easy Going. Not only does it make monsters easier to defeat, but it also increases the EXP gained by 1.5 times more.
If you prefer to play on a harder difficulty setting, then you can change the Difficulty Level back to your preferred settings after you are finished raising your Vocational Proficiency.
Set Battle Speed to Ultra-Fast
Having the Battle Speed set to Ultra-Fast speeds up battles and saves you a lot of time.
Don't Skip Encounters
While you can instantly defeat monsters without battling them if your party level is high enough, it is still better to do a full encounter since you earn more proficiency points.
When you complete a battle, your Vocational Proficiency increases by 7, but if you defeat monsters in the overworld, your proficiency increases only by 1.

Best Locations to Farm Vocational Proficiency
Tunnel to the Abbey (Past) After Getting Career Sphere
Right after unlocking the Career Sphere, the Tunnel to the Abbey (B1) is one of the best places to start grinding Vocational Proficiency. Enemies here are manageable, and the guest character Zev can use an area-of-effect attack, which helps clear fights quickly even when your party is still weak from switching vocations.
Story-wise, you’re also approaching a stretch with multiple consecutive battles and boss fights in the Allblades Arena, so spending time training here makes that section easier.

Highendreigh Tower For Additional Metal Slime Farming
Once moonlighting is available, it’s efficient to train somewhere that lets you level up, earn gold, and gain proficiency at the same time.
The Highendreigh Tower (Past) fits perfectly, as it’s one of the locations where Metal Slimes can appear most in enemy lineups.

Any Location Where You Can Do Sudden Strikes on Enemies
After clearing the Alltrades Abbey arc, your best farming spots are anywhere you can consistently land sudden strikes.
