Switch Vocations Using the Career Sphere
The Career Sphere allows you to change your character’s vocation at any time. Simply use the Sphere and you’ll be connected to the High Priestess, who can switch your vocation for you.
This gives you flexibility in combat and lets you experiment with different playstyles.
Talk to the High Priestess
You can also directly interact with the High Priestes at the Alltrades Abbey to change vocations. She’ll connect you to the Career Sphere directly, allowing you to switch jobs whenever you give her a visit.
Master Two Vocations With Moonlighting
You can also practice two vocations at once using the Moonlighting feature. This allows you to access abilities from both vocations during battles, giving you versatility without committing fully to a single job!
Where to Get the Career Sphere
Talk to the High Priestess at the Alltrades Abbey (Present)
Once you reach Alltrades Abbey in the Present time and talk to the High Priestess, she'll be giving you access to the Career Sphere after a brief cutscene. From here on, you can start changing your vocations via this device.
The Career Sphere will automatically be added to your overworld shortcuts.
What Is A Career Sphere
Used to Change Vocations at Any Time
The Career Sphere isn’t tied to a specific town or dungeon. You can change vocations anytime, giving you freedom to adapt your party’s abilities to different combat situations.
Learn New Skills From Each Vocation
Switching vocations also lets you learn new abilities from that vocation. Over time, you can mix and match skills to create highly customized characters, combining combat, magic, or support abilities.
Do Outfits Change After Changing Vocations?
Appearance Don't Change Anymore
In the original, after changing vocations, your appearance will also change along with it. This feature has been removed in DQ7 Reimagined since there are costumes you can wear here that can alter your appearance instead.
