Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined will be available on the platforms listed above. The game is also available for pre-order on each of these platforms, and a demo has also been released as of January 7, 2026.

Available on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2

DQ7R Switch
Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined is available on both the Nintendo Switch 1 and 2. However, Physical copies are only available for the Switch 2, while Digital versions are available on both.

Physical Switch 2 Copies are Game Key Cards

Keep in mind that the physical Switch 2 version will only have a key-card. This means that you will still need to download the game data, as it is not stored in the cartridge.

DQ7R PS5
Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined is also available on the PS5 digitally and physically. However, it's not available on PS4, and there have been no announcements if it's being released on the previous generation console.

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined is available on all Xbox platforms, both physically or digitally. The game also supports Xbox Play Anywhere, which gives users the option to play the game on Xbox Series X|S or on their PC at no additional cost.
