No You Cannot Save Maeve

Exploit Maeve

In the physical sense, Maeve cannot be saved. Regardless of what you do, you will still need to defeat her to finish the questline.

However, you can still give her a good ending by getting the villagers to come to your aid. After the villagers arrive as back-up, they will have the chance to apologize to her and swear to never let what they did to Molloy happen ever again.

Give The Wooden Doll to Patrick

Give the Doll to Patrick

If you give the Wooden Doll to Patrick before going to the Tower, the villagers will recognize who the doll belongs to, and that will encourage them to go to the Tower later to aid the party. It will also make the fight easier since Hanon will temporarily serve as your fourth party member.

If you don't give Patrick the doll, no villagers will come as back-up. Although you still get to save the village's women, the villagers will not get to apologize to Maeve, and they will not learn their lesson.
