How Many Characters Are There?

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined has 6 playable characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. This allows players to craft their ideal party composition, along with having multiple Vocations available to be used.

Reduced to 5 Characters Later On

At some point in the story, Kiefer will leave the party and he will no longer be playable. However, in the Reimagined version, he does rejoin the party later as an adult, but is still unknown whether or not it will be permanent or only temporary.
