Refusing to help the villagers of Nottagen one last time allows Wiggles to escape, and prevents the total destruction of Nottagen.
Choosing to help the villagers forces the party to fight Wiggles, which will lead to Nottagen's total destruction if the party is victorious.
If you chose to help the Villagers and went to fight Wiggles, you can intentionally lose to Wiggles to let it escape and still save Nottagen.
Losing to Wiggles essentially puts you in the story path where you chose not to help the villagers.
| Choice | Outcome |
|---|---|
| Don't Help Villagers | Wiggles escapes, and returns to help fight off the Worms of Woe. |
| Help the Villagers | With Wiggles dead, the Worms of Woe raze Nottagen, completely destroying it and preventing it from existing in the Present. |
| Choice | Outcome |
|---|---|
| Lose to Wiggles | Wiggles escapes, and returns to help fight off the Worms of Woe. |
| Defeat Wiggles | With Wiggles dead, the Worms of Woe raze Nottagen, completely destroying it and preventing it from existing in the Present. |
The choice of either winning or losing against Wiggles will only be available if you chose to Help the Villagers, since Wiggles will automatically escape if you chose not to help the Villagers.

Since Wiggles can only deal damage using Normal Attacks, you can reduce its damage by casting Kabuff.
With the entire Party's Defence raised, Wiggles' damage will be effectively reduced, regardless of which party member it attacks.
How to Learn Kabuff and Effects
If you decide to defeat Wiggles instead, you can quickly end the fight by using High-Damage skills.
Keep in mind that defeating Wiggles will result in the destruction of Nottagen, making it inaccessible in the Present.
