Who Should Use Which Seeds?
Magic Seeds on Maribel
Maribel is the offensive magic caster of the party, meaning you will want to give her magic-based seeds, like Seeds of Magic, to increase her damage output as much as possible. Although, you can also give her defensive seeds like HP and Resilience if you find her too squishy.
All Other Seeds on the Hero
Since the Hero is more of an all-rounder and support, you want to give your leftover seeds to him. As a note, Seeds of Agility are very useful to give him since having him act first lets you cast buffs on the party as soon as possible.
Don't Give Seeds to Kiefer
In the older versions of Dragon Quest 7, Kiefer leaves the party permanently, making any seeds given to him a waste. However, he will return as an adult in the Reimagined version, but it's still unclear if he's a permanent party member or only temporary.
Although, if you don't mind wasting seeds or he does come back permanently, then you will want to give him physical-based seeds, like Seeds of Strength, since he relies solely on physical attacks.
When Should You Use Seeds?
Save Seeds for Later in the Game
It's recommended to save your seeds for later in the game, since you will want to refine your builds once you've settled on your favourite character and Vocation combinations. If you use them too early, you might waste Seeds of Strength on a character you want as a mage, for example.
