This is a guide to getting the Clawshots in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (HD) for the Nintendo Switch. Read on to learn where to find Clawshots, as well as how to use it.

Complete Nayru's Silent Realm. |
The Clawshots are a reward for completing Lanayru's Silent Realm. The trial is available after completing the Ancient Cistern.
Hold down the ZR Button on the Right Joy-Con to bring up the Items menu. Point the controller at the Clawshots and let go of the ZR Button to equip it.
Once you have equipped the Clawshots, press the ZR Button to use it. For both button-only controls and motion controls, move your Right Joy-Con to aim.
Press the ZR Button to shoot the Clawshot. If you use it to shoot at a target, you can use the second Clawshot to aim at another area.
You can use the Clawshots as a form of shortcut when climbing vines. Aim the weapon at the certain group of vines to skip climbing them.
New areas are accessible once you have obtained the Clawshots. Look for a circular target and shoot it with the weapon.
You can use the Clawshots to enter Beedle's shop at Skyloft. Hit the bell with the weapon and a rope will come down, allowing you to enter the shop.
