This guide will show you how to beat Guay, an enemy in the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD for the Nintendo Switch. Read on to learn where to find Guay, drops for beating it, as well as strategy for beating it.

How to Beat Guay
Since the Guay can fly, it will have to be defeated with a projectile like Skyward Strike while it is airborne. When it swoops, you can use your melee sword attacks.

Guays are flying enemies primarily found in Faron Woods and the Sky. They are similar with Keese, in which they try to swoop Link.

They have a special attack called Hung Attack which drops foul matter to the player that decreases Stamina.

Faron Woods Walkthrough

Wait for the swoop when it stops circling

Guay - swoop
Guays flock around Link then proceeds to swoop. This is your chance to use melee atacks.

Use Skyward Strike

Guay - Skyward Strike
Guays will not stop flying around until it decides to swoop, or you are out of range. Use Skyward Strike or ranged attacks from Bows to easily defeat it while it is still airborne.

Roll or spin to remove Guay matter

Guay - Dunged
Stamina drain will be detrimental to you when you are hit by Guay matter, roll over or use Spin Attack to remove this.
