Wooden Shield Moblin are giant goblins who hit hard and have a lot of health. Players will first encounter them after acquiring the Goddess Hard.
How to Beat Wooden Shield Moblin
Strategy

| Slash away its shield first with a sword until it is destroyed, then you can freely hit it. Avoid its attacks indicated by its wind-ups. |
Wooden Shield Moblin have two stances, shield and no shield, and players will need to fight each stance differently.
Shielded Stance
While holding their shield, Wooden Shield Moblin will fight very defensively. Hiding behind their giant shields, they will approach slowly until they get in attacking range, where they will attack you with their long spears.
Players should slash away at the wooden shield until there is nothing left, which will trigger the next Moblin stance.
Offensive Stance
Once players slash enough of the shiled away, Wooden Shield Moblin will toss their shields and become more aggressive. Time your attacks carefully and be sure to avoid the Moblin's long spear.
Using Your Slingshot
While in the offensive stance, players can use their Slingshot or Scattershot to shoot the Moblin in the head. This will stun the Moblin while the player can get some free attacks and big damage in.
