Groundwork is an early-race acceleration skill that is best used by Front Runners to get a lead early. Groundwork requires 3 skills activating in the early-race for the skill itself to proc.

Easiest to Activate with 3 Green Skills

The most consistent way to activate this is by having track-based green skills, which are guaranteed activations (even not counting your Umamusume's Wit stat). Some examples are Right-Handed, Firm Conditions, and Spring Runner.

Some green skills, such as Lone Wolf which are racer-based, are a lot more conditional despite being guaranteed activations at the start. So it is best to go with track-based skills instead.

Note that green skill icons indicate what stat they are boosting, so we recommend skills that boost Speed, Stamina, and Power in general.

If you activate 3 skills early race then your acceleration slightly increases. It's easiest to do with green skills that match the track but ANY early race skill should work
