Is Biwa Hayahide (pf. Winning Equation...) Worth It?
Pull if You Need a Medium or Long Racer
Biwa Hayahide is a Medium and Long, and is designed with multiple Skill activations in mind thanks to her increased Wit stat growth. Not only that, but her Unique Skill helps her quickly catch up to the front, which works well with her Pace Chaser style.
Although she is a strong Trainee, players already have easy access to other Long and Medium runners such as Gold Ship and Nice Nature.
As such, only pull for Biwa Hayahide if you desperately need another Medium or Long racer, or if you like her character.

Run Her as Pace Chaser
Biwa Hayahide is an Umamusume who has an A aptitude on the Pace Chaser running style which means this is the easiest running style to run for her. It is best to use this running style when running on races as this is her best style.
Max Out Her Potential When Able
To increase the amount of skills you immediately have access to on Biwa Hayahide, it is recommended to max out her Potential level. However, if you do not have the Monies or materials to do so, you can hold back on increasing her potentials.
Upgrade Her Mile Aptitude
We highly recommend upgrading Biwa Hayahide's aptitude on Mile as she only has C rank in it and has two required Mile races early on her career. Use any Legacy that has a Mile Sparks to upgrade her Mile aptitude to at least B rank if you want to perform in them better, otherwise it is not a requirement to be in 1st place in those races.

As a Medium and Long racer with an aptitude for Pace Chaser, Biwa Hayahide will need as much Speed and Stamina as possible. Throw in some Power afterward, as she will need it to overtake those in front of her. Finally, make sure she has enough Wit so she can activate her Skills with ease.
It is important to note that if you cannot reach the stats recommended above, you can instead aim for a similar stat distribution. You can then compensate for the missing stats using skills. Additionally, if you are only planning on clearing a career run with Biwa Hayahide then you can aim for lower stat numbers, as the stats above are a baseline for Team Trials.
Recommended Support Cards
For Support cards, we recommend a 3 Speed, 2 Stamina, 1 Wit deck, although you can also choose to replace the Wit card with a Speed Card. Biwa Hayahide is a Medium and Long racer, so having Stamina cards helps with giving her the energy she needs for each race.
Not only do these cards help train Biwa Hayahide's preferred stats (especially with Rainbow/Friendship Training), but they can give you strong skills such as Speed Star and Swinging Maestro.

Stamina and Power sparks are great for Biwa Hayahide as she will be running both Medium and Long races. Get Medium and Long sparks to improve her aptitude with them, although you can also try to get Mile sparks to get your Mile aptitude up from the start to help with your first two races.
Pace Chaser sparks are ideal to push it from A to S, but Late Surger sparks are also useful if you want to turn Biwa Hayahide into a Late Surger runner.
You can use either your own Veterans, or borrow the ones from your friends. If you do not have Veterans with full sparks, you can go with whatever you have access to.

Stamina skills are important for Biwa Hayahide. As such try to get Swinging Maestro and Gourmand to help her get through her long races. Speed Star, on the other hand, will help her get to the front during the last spurt which synergizes with her Pace Chaser affinity.
For Speed skills, getting Homestretch Haste, Straightaway Adept and Pace Chaser Corners are good for helping her pick up speed.
If you cannot get the recommended skills, you can replace them with similar skills that you have access to. You will just need to make sure that Biwa Hayahide can activate said skills in a race.
