List of Contents
As the name implies, the Attack Stat directly increases the weapon's damage. A higher attack stat means higher damage for your blows. Take note that each weapon has a hidden divider that divides it's total attack damage by this value to get your attack's final output.

---|---|
Great Sword | 4.8 |

Dual Blades | 1.4 |
Hammer | 5.2 |

Lance | 2.3 |
Gunlance | 2.3 |
Switch Axe | 3.5 |
Charge Blade | 3.6 |
Insect Glaive | 3.5 |
Bow | 1.2 |

Heavy Bowgun | 1.5 |
Skills such as Attack Boost and other skills that increase attacks after a certain condition are all great ways to increase your attack stat.
Foods offers Felyne Skills but their basic benefit is the increase in HP, Stamina, and Stats! Foods can increase your Attack, Defense, or Elemental Resistance so if you're looking for extra damage, give the meat platter a try!
There are a multitude of items that can increase your weapon's damage. The Powercharm and Powertalon increases your attack passively while in the Inventory and items like Demondrugs and Mightpills increase it for a certain duration.
