The Jailbreak event in Warzone 2 occurs randomly during the late-game stages of a Battle Royale match, usually between the third and fifth circles. If a Jailbreak happens, they will only appear once in the game.
However, there's no guarantee that it will happen in every game and it seems to have a slim chance of appearing in a match.
There are no clear indicators that a Jailbreak will happen later on during a match, however there will be warning banners that will appear on-screen moments before a Jailbreak happens to notify alive players in the game.
For players that are still alive, a yellow warning banner on-screen that reads ”Jailbreak Imminent. All Operators will redeploy” with a countdown timer indicating that a Jailbreak Event is about to commence.
Take note that for spectating and gulag players, you will not be warned beforehand, but rather you'll suddenly find yourself dropping off the skies of Al-Mazrah with a blue banner on-screen with the message ”Redeploying. All Operators Redeployed to the AO” will appear.
Jailbreak is a Warzone 2 Battle Royale random event where all dead spectating players and those that are in the gulag will respawn back in the game.
Operators who have been eliminated will get a second chance to redeploy in the match in a similar way as breaking out of the gulag — dropping down from a plane into Al-Mazrah. Do note that the respawn location is random and you won't be able to select a jump-off point.
Considering how difficult it is to win in Warzone 2, Jailbreak is a great way to give players a chance to rejoin their squadmates and win the game!
Full squads will no longer need to spend money at buy stations to redeploy their squadmates as Jailbreak is completely free.
However, teams should not rely on Jailbreaks for their dead squadmates to respawn since they're random and not 100% guaranteed in every game. It might still be worth saving up money to purchase those buybacks.
Jailbreakers will be redeploying late in the match where most locations will be primarily locked off because of the circle enclosure. It's recommended that you drop in hot zones known for their abundance of loot.
While this may seem counter-productive due to the fact that alive players might be camping at these places, these locations should give you enough weapons to fend off any counter-attacks from squads that are awaiting your arrival.
Players who are still alive can deny the respawn of Jailbreakers by shooting and killing them as they parachute down from the sky. This can lessen the burden by preventing the increase of players alive in-game and ultimately increases your chances of winning.
