The Shortest Route to get to the Mountaintop Spotter Shack is to pass through the South Eastern trail.

Warzone 2.0 - Mountaintop Spotter Shack Trail
Once at the starting location, climb up the first trail that you'll encounter - this will be the only trail in the area so you can't miss it.

Warzone 2.0 - Mountaintop Spotter Shack Stairs
Keep going up the first set of stairs on the side of the mountain.
NOTE: Heavily armored AI enemies will sometimes be patrolling this area.

Once you reach the top, make your way to the other end of the mountaintop. You can play this out stealthily and use the houses to move from one cover to another.

How to Get Mountaintop Spotter Shack Key

Complete HVT Contracts

Warzone 2.0 - HVT Icon on the Map

HVT Contracts are the best way to get keys as eliminating High-Valued Targets are guaranteed to drop keys. Head on over to one of the green crosshair icons on the map to accept HVT Contract missions.

Kill AI Combatants

Warzone 2.0 - Kill AI Combatants

Killing Enemy AI will have a chance to drop keys. You can create 'aggro' by fighting small groups of AI, this will lead them to call for backup and will send in more troops for you to farm keys!

Can be Obtained from Loot Containers

Warzone 2.0 - Loot Keys from Containers

All loot containers will also have a rare chance to contain Keys to different locations. This includes, toolboxes, duffelbags, clothing, fridges, and other lootable objects.
