Proximity Mine is a Lethal equipment in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (MW2). Read on to learn how to get and use the Proximity Mine in the game!

To use Proximity Mine, simply place it on the ground and wait for an enemy to fall victim to it. All enemies directly hit by the Proximity Mine should instantly die unless they have the Bomb Squad Perk.
Effectively kill enemies using the Proximity Mines if you place them behind doors and passageways. Those locations make it hard for players to spot and avoid it, leading to easy kills and obtaining XP.

Having a Spotter Bonus Perk allows you to hack the Proximity Mine and make it your own. Just be careful not to get too close to it when trying to hack it, as it might explode, leading to your death.
A prompt text will appear once you're close to it. Press and hold that button to hack the mine.
You can also destroy a Proximity Mine if you shoot it a few times. Explosions from any equipment can also destroy and make it explode on the field. Put on some distance before you do those so you can leave unscathed!
Walk past the Proximity Mine safely by deactivating it for a short duration using the DDOS Field Upgrade. However, you need to be in range with the mine before activating DDOS to disable it.
