Campaign co-op is not available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (MW2). However, there will be other modes where co-op play is possible. Read on to learn all the details about MW2's upcoming campaign and co-op modes.
Is Campaign Co-Op Available?
Campaign is Single-Player Only
Unfortunately, the campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 does not support campaign co-op as it is touted as a single-player-only experience by the developers.
Anyone who preorders a digital edition of Modern Warfare II will receive early Campaign access. This grants you up to a week to complete the incredible multimission, single-player, globe-trotting operation before the full game launches.

Other Game Modes Support Co-Op
Special Ops
Special Ops is a two-player co-op game mode that takes place after the story of the Modern Warfare 2 campaign. You will be able to team up with another person and engage in missions that allow you to explore large-scale hot zones.

Raids
Raids are a three-player co-op game mode requiring solid teamwork, strategic planning, and puzzle-solving abilities, alongside CoD's usual high-speed gunplay. This game mode is completely new to the franchise.
