Judau Ashta Review

Judau Ashta is a pilot whose main strength is granting a 12% guard rate to Blue-type mobile suits and another 12% to Armored mobile suits. It also grants 3 separate stacking resistance buffs on taking damage that each max out at 40% to mobile suits under the Heavy Armor, Successor Unit, and AEUG-Affiliated unit category tags. A 120% resistance buff is the largest we’ve seen in-game so far. However, only the FAZZ is able to benefit from all three resistance buffs, as well as 2 of the guard rate buffs.

While he’s not as flexible as Danton or Rick Dom Io, even getting just 2 of those resistance buffs amount to a larger buff than these two pilots we’ve discussed, and that’s on top of the guaranteed 12% guard rate granted to all Armored mobile suits.

The pilots that benefit from all 2 resistance buffs include the ZZGR, Hazel Custom, Zaku III Custom (TWA), and the Gundam GP02A. All of these mobile suits also benefit from a 12% guard rate while the GP02A is able to get the full 24%. Judau is the best substitute pilot for all these mobile suits over Danton and Io, but for those not listed here, both these pilots are probably better than Judau.

This mobile suit also grants 3 separate stacking ranged sense buffs on taking damage, each maxing out at 90%. These are granted to mobile suits under the First Neo Zeon War, Protagonist Unit, and Gundam-Type unit category tags. While they’re nice to have, these come secondary to the defensive boosts Judau grants his MSs.

Judau dramatically increases the FAZZ’s durability and ranged sense. A quick recap on all the buffs he has to offer, the FAZZ benefits from 24% Guard rRate buff, up to 120% Resistance, and up to 270% Ranged Sense.
