Mashiro Okusu Review

Mashiro Okusu is a pilot that specializes in granting its users higher damage resistances and EX Skill damage. All of the other signature pilots of Armored units grant resistance bonuses if the mobile suit category is Heavy Armor, which, to a certain extent, makes them somewhat interchangeable with one another because all Armored mobile suits except for one are categorized under Heavy Armor. The Over.on is the signature mobile suit of Mashiro, and this unit is the lone Armored unit without the Heavy Armor category.

It grants a total op to 70% increased resistances, with 35% for all Armored units, and the other half for those categorized as Prototype units. Luckily, all three of the SS-tier Armored units can receive the full 70%.

However, the conditions for its 42.5% bonus to EX damage is something that only the Over.on can take advantage of, as the only other unit with the Limiter Override category is the Pale Rider (Space Type), and there are tons of other pilots better suited to operate it.

To sum it all up, Mashiro Okusu is a great pilot for his signature MS, but he isn't as flexible as the other pilots for Armored units and is only a subpar substitute Armored pilot.

The Over.on deals big damage with its EX Skill, especially against units with the Unavoidable status effect, and it can rapidly fire this devastating skill because it charges 4.2% of its EX gauge for every time it takes damage. Mashiro further increases the damage this unit deals with its EX Skill, and gives it the full 70% damage resistance that it needs to survive longer and use its EX Skill more. Other pilots can only grant the Over.on 35% increased damage resistance because they require the Heavy Armor category, which this mobile suit does not have.
