Amuro Ray Review

This version of Amuro is a very good substitute pilot for all Sniper units. This is mainly because he grants 12% stacking ranged sense on dealing damage, which maxes out at 10 stacks or 120% to all Sniper units. Most Sniper units have either low or medium hit-counts, but none of them are particularly great at stacking these damage buffs. Those with Irradiate weapons that hit 7 times are quite good at this though, and these include the Zaku I with Big Gun, Sisquiede Titans Color, and RX-93ff Nu Gundam.

Amuro also grants Purple-type units, as well as One Year War and High Firepower unit category MSs 38% ranged sense each. Both the Sisquiede and the BGZ can reap 2 out of these three buffs, while Sniper Nu and the Zanneck can benefit from just one.

Support Units and Sub-Flight System MSs also get 10% accuracy each. BGZ, Gundam Mk-II (AEUG) + Flying Armor, and Zanneck can each benefit from 1 while all the other Snipers cannot.

Overall, Amuro is a very good substitute pilot for some mobile suits, a good substitute for all Sniper units, and an excellent pilot for his signature MS, which we'll talk about below.

Amuro Ray is an excellent pilot for the Gundam + Z-Fighter thanks to the numerous ranged sense and accuracy buffs he has to offer. He doubles down on the mobile suit's offense, making it a deadlier backline damage threat.
