Rosamia Badam Review

Rosamia Badam is a very powerful pilot who can provide a lot of firepower and survivability to her mobile suit during the first 30 seconds of the fight. Although her melee sense and evasion buffs completely expire after 30 seconds, it's more than enough time for the modes she's built for, such as Phantom Ace and Arena.

But what makes her unique is that she also possesses the incredibly rare ability to increase a mobile suit's EX Skill damage, which is typically exempt from a pilot's firepower buff. Unlike her melee sense and evasion buffs, these do not expire after half a minute. This means that mobile suits with accelerated EX Gauge recovery can make great use of it on extended fights.

Unfortunately, half of her rare EX Skill damage buffs are attached to the rare Transforming Unit mobile suit category requirement. The other half is locked behind the Green Mobile Suit unit category requirement, which is somehow even rarer than the former. In fact, only the Gaplant can fulfill both requirements simultaneously, which severely affects your choices in selecting other mobile suits for her to pilot.

The Gaplant is a Raid-category mobile suit that, much like the Kampfer High Mobility Type, excels in bursting down enemy mobile suits with an EX Skill right at the start of battle. This early EX Gauge advantage allows it to have one EX Skill use advantage over other mobile suits that lack a starting gauge or an accelerated EX Gauge recovery buff.

Rosamia Badam takes full advantage of this gimmick with her EX Damage buff, allowing the Gaplant to deal massive damage through its EX Skill. She also boosts its evasion to acceptable levels to supplement its paltry 8% boost.
