Event Overview

Encirclement Breakthrough Battles is a timed survival mode where the player must survive against hordes of Green mobile suits until the timer runs out. The event will end on November 20, 2024, at 10:59 a.m. Japanese Standard Time.

Encirclement Breakthrough Battles Information

In Encirclement Breakthrough Battles, your objective is to endure a relentless horde of Green enemies for 120 seconds. This event is available in both Normal and Hard modes, each offering Event Medals as rewards. These medals can be used to pull rewards from the Medal Unit Assembly Box.

Normal mode consists of 3 levels and is very easy to beat. Clearing each level rewards MS and Pilot EXP and obtainable rewards consisting of Diamonds, a UR Custom ticket, Enhancement Program I, Operation Improvement Manual I, and additional Event Medals.

Hard mode, however, brings added difficulty. To earn 3 stars and collect all of the Diamond rewards, you must clear each level with just one mobile suit. That said, completing Hard mode with a full squad still yields Event Medals and obtainable rewards. For the best odds of winning and getting 3 stars, use durable mobile suits with good defense that also have enough damage to take down multiple enemies. Mobile suits like the Penelope, the Xi Gundam, Engage Zero Yonfavin (Awaken) are effective picks who could get through the Hard stages with ease, provided they've been strengthened enough with upgrades and other investments.

The opponents you'll face have high evasion and high accuracy, so evasion MSs won't really work too well, and neither will MSs with low accuracy. To be able to kill multiple of these MSs, you need either high accuracy or bullseye, or you'll need a spammable EX skill since those don't miss.

How To Clear The Extra Stage

The Extra stage of the hard mode is the event's biggest challenge, and clearing it will grant you a brand new title along with some coins. To get all three stars, you must clear the stage with 30 kills with just 1 Red-type mobile suit, 1 Generic category MS, and 1 UR rarity MS. The last condition is rather easy, but the first two are quite challenging. Luckily, you can separately earn each of the three stars, and it doesn't have to be one Generic Red-type mobile suit. Do note that this requires a tremendous amount of investment on a mobile suit to clear, as this is endgame-level content. You'll want to be at maximum player and unit rank, high Custom Lv., some Transcendence and Potential Levels, Unit Enhancement, and Modules, all on top of having a good pilot to go along with your MS.

That said, to clear the Red-type challenge, you'll want to use either the Penelope, Xi Gundam, the Kshatriya, the Nu Gundam, or the brand new Engage Zero Yonfavin (Awaken) as these MSs have both the durability and the accuracy or the EX skill to clear the conditions. The Penelope and the Xi in particular are well-known meta units who can clear the conditions within a few attempts, should they have enough investment in them. The latter three, on the other hand, might require more investment given that they may not have enough damage to destroy 30 mobile suits.

The same logic applies to the Generic category challenge. Generic MSs with durability, damage, and accuracy include the Full Armor Unicorn Gundam, the Rick Dijeh, the Green Nu, the Red Nu, and the V2 Gundam, as these are the only Generic mobile suits that have the sustain, accuracy, and damage to survive for the duration while taking down 30 or more MSs. The FAUC and the V2 have type disadvantages over the opponents, so it might take a couple of attempts for them to be able to clear the conditions. Again, only MSs with high investment can clear the Extra stage while fulfilling the conditions.

If you can't clear the Extra stage, you'll only really miss out on the new title. Using skip tickets to farm the Extra stage will grant more or less the same amount of event medals as you would get from other Hard stages, so if you only want to grind for the fragments from the Total Event Medal Rewards, you may farm them from the other Hard stages instead.

Event Rewards

The Encirclement Breakthrough Battles event features Event Medals upon clearing each battle level which you can use to pull rewards from the Medal Unit Assembly Box. Additionally, you can also get ［M0112］ Matsunaga's High Mobility Zaku II MS blueprints as well as ［C0046］Shin Matsunaga Pilot blueprints and Custom UR Tickets upon reaching medal milestones starting from 300 up to 200,000 medals acquired.

Owning an Engage Zero Yonfavin (Awaken) and Peche Montagne will also grant a bonus to the Event Medals you can earn throughout the event. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire and Potential Unleash this UR mobile suit along with its signature pilot, so be sure to participate in this event!
