Encirclement Breakthrough Battles is a timed survival mode where the player must survive against hordes of Purple mobile suits until the timer runs out. The event will end on June 18, 2025, at 10:59 a.m. Japanese Standard Time.

In Encirclement Breakthrough Battles, your objective is to endure a relentless horde of Purple enemies for 120 seconds. This event is available in both Normal and Hard modes, each offering Event Medals as rewards. These medals can be used to pull rewards from the Medal Unit Assembly Box.
Normal mode consists of 3 levels and is very easy to beat. Clearing each level rewards MS and Pilot EXP and obtainable rewards consisting of Diamonds, a UR Custom ticket, Enhancement Program I, Operation Improvement Manual I, and additional Event Medals.

Hard mode, however, brings added difficulty, though it's not nearly as difficult as previous iterations. To earn 3 stars and collect all of the Diamond rewards, you must clear each level with just one mobile suit. That said, completing Hard mode with a full squad still yields Event Medals and obtainable rewards.
For the best odds of winning and getting 3 stars, use durable mobile suits with either good defense or sustain that also have enough damage to take down multiple enemies. That said, mobile suits like the F91 MEPE, Yellow Sazabi, Victory 2 Assault Gundam, Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility (NT-D), Awakened Magna Martell, The-O, and the like are perfect for this event.

The Extra stages are the event's toughest challenges by far. To complete these stages with three stars, you'll need to clear the battle while destroying 30 enemy units with a single Yellow unit, clear the battle while destroying 30 enemy units with a single Psycho-Frame Type unit, and clear the battle while destroying 30 enemy units with a single UR-rarity unit. The last condition is rather easy to complete, but the first 2 are a lot more complicated than that.
The enemies in these Extra stages are a lot more formidable than the ones from Normal and Hard stages, since their damage output is a lot larger, and they're loaded with plenty of evasion. On top of your chosen units requiring good damage, sustain, and/or some form of defense, they'll also need something to beat evasion with too, be it Bullseye, high accuracy, Unavoidable, or being able to spam their EX skills.
Rozen Zulu
|
The easiest way to clear the event by far is by using the brand new Rozen Zulu. Its blend of high HP, damage resistances, high crit damage, and Bullseye should allow it to not only survive through the battle, but take down 30 or more enemy units as well. The Rozen Zulu can clear all three conditions at once and allow you to three-star the mission with just one successful attempt.
Sazabi [THE LIFE-SIZED v Gundam STATUE]
[C0037] Johnny Ridden
|
Another MS that's capable of beating both Extra stages in one go is the Yellow Sazabi. Although it's past its prime, its sustain and high damage will allow it to take down 30 enemy units. One downside is that this MS loses its anti-evasion capabilities 18 seconds after the battle begins, so you'll need to pair it with a pilot who grants plenty of accuracy. This is where Johnny Ridden comes in, as he grants loads of accuracy when taking down enemies, which you'll be doing plenty of in this game mode. You cannot clear Extra II with the Yellow Sazabi if you do not pair it with Johnny Ridden. Because this is high level content, you'll want this duo to have plenty of investments in them for good chances of success.
No other Yellow Psycho-Frame Type unit can complete the Extra stages, since they lack one or more of the key features needed for these Extra stages.
If you have neither of these units, you'll need to clear the conditions separately.
Baund Doc
|
Even if you choose to clear the conditions separately, your options are rather slim. A Baund Doc definitely has the damage and the survivability to last through the entire battle, but its anti-evasion comes in the form of Unavoidable from its EX skill, which only affects one unit at a time. That said, it might have a very hard time getting 30 kills. Unfortunately, all the other Yellow-type units in the game either lack the survivability to last the entire match, the damage to take out 30 or more units, or the anti-evasion capabilities to consistently deal damage.
Sinanju (Generic)
|
Banshee Norn (NT-D)
|
As for your Psycho-Frame Type options, the Sinanju (Generic) is your best bet, as it is now the premier DPS unit for both Arena and PvE. Its extremely high crit damage, good sustain, and access to Bullseye through its EX skill makes these Extra stages a piece of cake. You could clear it with Banshee Norn (NT-D) too. While it doesn't have Bullseye, high accuracy, or Unavoidable, it can spam its EX skill consistently in this game mode given its Absolute Evade and 6% EX gauge restoration on evading skill synergy. Again, other Psycho-Frame Type units in the game either lack the survivability to last the entire match, the damage to take out 30 or more units, or the anti-evasion capabilities to consistently deal damage.

EBB rewards are once again top-tier since you get to earn fragments of UR units that you can grind for in Fragment Quests, specifically the GM III Powered FA and [C0175] Ubaldo Morina. This is extremely useful because you can turn these fragments into either Rainbow Haro Coins or a Haro Farm progress accelerator for the featured Fragment Quest unit. On top of all that, you'll earn Diamonds, Custom Tickets, and other goodies like gacha pulls from the Medal Unit Assembly Box.
It's worth noting that this iteration of EBB rewards you with twice as many Custom Tickets of all rarities compared to previous versions of the event. This makes it a must-grind, especially with how many meta mobile suits we're getting and with the Custom Level cap being increased with the latest 6/4 patch.

Owning a Rozen Zulu and Angelo Sauper will also grant a bonus to the Event Medals you can earn throughout the event.
