Ubaldo Morina Review

Ubaldo Morina is an extremely strange pilot who provides contradicting buffs to his mobile suit if his main skill requirements are met.

His Skill 1 provides him with a stacking resistance buff when he is hit. Meanwhile, his Skill 2 provides an evasion bonus. Understandably, the latter only interferes with his mobile suit's resistance buff stacking, as it allows the unit to evade attacks and not take damage.

Meanwhile, his Skill 2 can also completely gimp his mobile suit's performance if you ever pair him with a mobile suit with the Psycho-Frame Type unit category. Just like Michel Kano, doing so would severely cripple his unit's Accuracy by a jaw-dropping 99%.

To top it all off, his skill requirements with a UR-rarity mobile suit other than the GM III Powered FA is deceptively tricky. While there are many with the Heavy Armor unit category, predominantly from the Armored-category mobile suits, the GM-Type unit category is an exceedingly rare one to meet among the UR-rarity releases.

The GM III Powered FA is a great mobile suit to pair with Ubaldo Morina due to its high bulk. It's also one of the very rare mobile suits in the Heavy Armor unit category that would appreciate the evasion boost because of its supporting role and near-utter lack of firepower.
