Anavel Gato Review

Anavel Gato, in this form, is a specialist pilot designed to stack massive amounts of resistance for his mobile suit. While most of it will come from being hit, he makes up for it with a passive bonus to health and resistance. In addition, he even provides a notable amount of ranged and accuracy buffs. That prevents wasting a slot for a unit to serve as nothing more than a bullet sponge.

It should be mentioned, however, that Anavel Gato's skill requirements are deceptively simple to match mobile suits with. While all currently released Armored-category mobile suits have Heavy Armor unit categories, only the Gundam GP02A meets the Blue-type and Delaz Conflict requirements. These are the most important requirements to fulfill due to how Anavel Gato's buffs are spread.

The only alternatives are to select relatively tanky Blue-Type mobile suits with the right unit categories, such as the Gundam GP01, or an Armored-category mobile suit with strong ranged attacks, such as the Gundam Full Armor (Thunderbolt)

The Gundam GP02A prides itself on being an explosive brick wall. Not only is it extremely difficult to destroy, but it also threatens the entire enemy team with a nuke whenever it is allowed to charge its EX Skill.

While its weapons aren't nothing to be scared of, placing Anavel Gato inside its cockpit makes its attacks hit a bit harder and more consistently. Most importantly, he provides the Gundam GP02A with more staying power. This allows it more time and chances to charge its devastating EX Skill to cripple the entire enemy team.
