If magic, staff, or dragon foe initiates combat against an ally within 2 spaces of unit, triggers 【Savior】 on unit.
If foe uses magic, staff, or dragonstone, grants Atk/Res+4 to unit, disables foe's effects that "calculate damage using the lower of foe's Def or Res" (including area-of-effect Specials), any "reduces damage by X%" effect that can be triggered only once per combat by unit's equipped Special skill can be triggered up to twice per combat (excludes boosted Special effects from engaging; only highest value applied; does not stack), and restores 7 HP to unit when unit deals damage to foe during combat.

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Res / -Spd

The best IVs for Vanitas are +Res and -Spd. As a slow tank unit, Vanitas needs to invest in either Def or Res in order to help her fulfill her role better.

We recommend +Res due to it being a higher stat and it synergizing with the rest of her base kit.

Vanitas's Spd is abysmal at only base 18 and can be safely taken as a bane as it won't impact any of her matchups.

How to Use, Explanation

Vanitas's base kit is good enough to function as a Savior Tank for magic damage. Protecting her team with Savior and Stone Terrain makes her great for this role; just be careful not to overlap terrain effects. She can be geared up for Near or Far Save as well if those suit the team more.
