When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Halloween Skrimir are +Def and -Spd. Def is one of Skrimir's best stats and is even raised up to base 53 with a superboon, making him one of the bulkiest units in the game.
Skrimir's Spd is a clear dump stat and can be safely taken as a bane.
We recommend +Def when merging Halloween Skrimir up to +10 to maximize his role as a tank unit.

This build maximizes Skrimir's Def and turns him into a formidable tank unit. He can work with both Near and Far Save, and can even go with a Physical Save build if you are willing to invest.

Halloween Skrimir is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Halloween Skrimir's exclusive weapon Preying Fang grants Atk/Def+6, 【Imbue】, and Special cooldown charge +1 per attack
to Skrimir and allies within 2 spaces at the start of both player and enemy phases.
In combat, Preying Fang grants Skrimir up to Atk/Spd/Def/Res+14, bonus true damage, true damage reduction, and true damage reduction on Specials equal to 20% of Skrimir's Def, and Special cooldown count -2 before foe's first attack.
Preying Fang also has the standard Armored Beast transformation effects, granting Atk+2 and Distant Counter.
Preying Fang has everything necessary for modern day tanks, having both true damage reduction and true damage reduction on Specials along with a min-maxed statline, turning Halloween Skrimir into a great defensive unit.
Halloween Skrimir's base stats are heavily skewed towards defense, with his high base 52 HP along with base 49 Def and 41 Res.
As a demote unit, he can easily be fully merged up to +10 to serve as a nice lower-budget option for a Savior tank role.
Halloween Skrimir takes 1.5x damage from armor-effective weapons like Randgríðr, and one blow from this type of weapon will deal significant damage. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
