When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
Neutral IVs by default!
As a hero obtainable only through Tempest Trials, Summer Fogado will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
+Spd / -Def
The best IVs for Summer Fogado are +Spd and -Def. Spd is a superboon and boosts Fogado's Spd from base 47 to base 51, allowing him to keep up with modern metagame units. Due to his lack of an exclusive skill, Fogado will need to rely on his stats and investment in order to remain competitive against metagame foes.
Summer Fogado's Def is his least important stat and can be safely taken as a bane as it won't impact any of his matchups.
+Spd for a +10 Merge

Summer Fogado is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Tropical Juice+ has built-in Time's Pulse and bonus true damage
Summer Fogado's inheritable weapon Tropical Juice+ has a built-in Time's Pulse 3 effect and grants Fogado Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 and bonus true damage equal to 15% of his Atk during combat.
While this weapon isn't as powerful as exclusive weapons, especially the recently released weapons with multiple effects, Tropical Juice+ can work on a budget and deal a decent amount of damage per attack.

Lack of Unique Skills
Summer Fogado suffers from not having any unique skills to call his own, making him unable to stand out amongst other units.
Ranged Cavalry units are quite abundant in the game, and lacking an exclusive weapon makes Summer Fogado replaceable by better units.
Weak to Cavalry Effective Weapons
Summer Fogado takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon will deal significant damage. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
