When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Heimdallr are +Res and -Spd. Res is the key stat for the stat checks of both Mystic Gjallarhorn and An Open Book, making it Heimdallr's most important stat. It should be boosted as much as possible in order to maximize Heimdallr's effectiveness.
Spd is Heimdallr's worst stat and can be safely taken as a bane as it won't impact any of her matchups.
We recommend a +Res IV when merging Heimdallr up to +10 for similar reasons above.

Heimdallr's base kit is already good enough to function as a magic tank and support hybrid. She is a great wielder of Emblem Corrin ring to maximize role compression and further protect her team with its terrain effects, especially the Foresight Snare recipient.

Heimdallr is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.
Heimdallr's exclusive weapon Mystic Gjallarhorn grants 【Foresight Snare】 the bottom-most unit within 3 columns of Heimdallr if fielded on Aether Raids Defense, or to the ally with the highest Def closest to an enemy if playing other game modes.
【Foresight Snare】 is a new status effect that triggers the following effects if an enemy unit initiates combat into the unit with 【Foresight Snare】, and if that combat is the first combat on the current phase:
【Foresight Snare】's effects are devastating if it triggers, instantly ending the foe's action and inflicting 【Isolation】 and 【Flash】 onto the initiating foe.
Mystic Gjallarhorn also inflicts Atk/Def/Res-5 and neutralizes foe's bonuses to Atk/Def/Res for all foes within 3 rows and 3 columns centered on Heimdallr, giving her team additional support on top of 【Foresight Snare】.
In combat, Mystic Gjallarhorn inflicts an Atk/Res penalty onto Heimdallr's foe equal to 20% of her Res and grants her up to +15 bonus true damage and true damage reduction based on the number of allies within 3 rows and 3 columns, and grants Heimdallr 7 HP post-combat healing.
Mystic Gjallarhorn is a great support weapon if set up correctly and 【Foresight Snare】 is maximized, while retaining good combat potential.
For best results, set up your team so that the unit granted 【Foresight Snare】 has a Bulwark and/or an anti-Warp effect from skills like Barricade, preventing foes from advancing past him/her and forcing them to attack into him/her first.
Heimdallr's exclusive B skill An Open Book enables 【Canto (Rem.; Min 1)】 and inflicts 【Exposure】, 【Discord】, and 【Stall】 on foes with less Res than Heimdallr and are within 2 spaces of any other foe.
This effect is very powerful, as multiple metagame units have effects that grant them Movement +1. Applying 【Stall】 to a group of enemies at the start of each phase counters this and heavily impacts teams built on mobility.
In combat, An Open Book inflicts Atk/Res-5 and a Guard effect onto Heimdallr's foe, denies their follow-up attack, grants Heimdallr bonus true damage and true damage reduction equal to 20% of her Res, and 7 HP post-combat healing.
An Open Book's main use is for its widespread penalties, making Heimdallr a powerful support unit to field in battle. The in-combat effects are relevant as well, helping Heimdallr hold her own in battle.
【Foresight Snare】 can be easily avoided by attacking a different unit without 【Foresight Snare】 first in order to avoid its devastating effects.
【Foresight Snare】 only triggers if there were no combat instances on the current phase yet, rendering it useless if the affected unit isn't involved in the first combat of the current phase. Since 【Foresight Snare】's effects trigger before Savior, it is safe to attack the other units first.
Heimdallr's Spd and Def stats are quite low, leaving her vulnerable to fast physical attackers that have built-in Null Follow-Up effects.
Initiate into Heimdallr with a fast physical attacker to defeat her in one round of combat!
Heimdallr takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon will deal significant damage. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!

The problem with giving her the Corrin emblem is that she needs to be on the back row for so she can't be taken out asap (I'm assuming she doesn't give it to herself, but haven't tested that). The Corrin emblem is best on someone on the front row,,so the canto control has max range. 🤔
