    And by counter, I mean kill him in his first combat because he will get that galeforce effect and throw another AOE at your team.

    Unlike Brave Felix who is "immune" to traps due to his Lone Wolf skill, Emblem Sigurd is still vulnerable to traps. You can halt his initiation with properly placed traps. You can also immediately set up Divine Vein Ice terrain with Brave Robin (F) to block entry points onto your Defense team if you have her.
