Ahh, i see, thanks. I realized i hadn't finished unlocking her skills when i wrote this. 😳 I only had rockslide 2 unlocked.
Tender Dream gives Canto to the ally. Rockslide Dance gives Canto to Peony. The stats do overlap (on the target ally), but the target ally will get Atk/Res+4, Spd/Def+6, Dodge, and warp. Allies in cardinal directions also get Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4, warp, and Canto.
Well, i see rockslide gives dodge, which tender dream doesn't give, so i guess why the devs decided to give her so much overlap is my question...? Is it just for skill fodder for other units?
I'm not understanding the rock slide 3 & tender dream combo. It doesn't seem like the target can get the +4 buff to all stats & also the spd/def +6 buff, nor can they get canto 1 twice. I understand the cardinal direction aspect is very helpful, but is there a reason to keep rockslide 3 on her if we plan to use her? That seems redundant, but I've only played 3 months, so maybe I'm missing something?
