Mythic Hero Battle: Arval Strategy

Use a Player Phase strategy with Galeforce and repeated actions

With six foes at the start of the match, it is possible to use a strategy involving repeated actions using Galeforce or Duo/Harmonized skills to clear the map on turn one, or eliminate most of the enemies and kite the remaining leftovers.

Units like Ninja Lyn, Ninja Corrin (F), and Summer Edelgard work fantastic in this map with their own abilities to generate additional actions. The Ninja duos can use their Duo Skills while Summer Edelgard can use Raging Storm to create an additional action for themselves. Summer Edelgard can even equip Galeforce to get a third action!

However, due to the distance of your team from the enemies' initial spawn locations, Wings of Mercy and/or similar warp skills will be required in order to reach the enemies on turn one. Equip your initiator unit(s) with self-recoil skills like Fury 4 or Atk/Spd Push 4 in order to get them to the required HP threshold.

Key support units for this strategy include Hatari Azura and New Year Peony. These two refresher units can generate an additional action for an ally with their unique refresh skills, and another action on top of that with their own Duo/Harmonized skills too.

Alternatively, use Savior units to tank the enemies

With the exception of Arval, the enemies on this map are not too threatening. Using a Near Save unit and a Far Save unit with two support units (ideally a healer and a refresher) can also clear the map by withstanding the enemies and winning through attrition.

The Far Save unit will be key because he/she needs to be able to survive Arval's attack. Using a fast unit with a skill that prevents enemy follow-up attacks will help by ensuring Arval only attacks once.

Alternatively, using a colorless unit that attacks Arval's lower Def stat can deny Arval's color advantage and potentially defeat them in one round.

Units we recommend for the Far Save role include Ascended Fjorm, Rearmed Robin (F), and Caineghis.

Watch out for various movement/warp skills!

Some enemies on this map come with movement and warp skills that can cause unexpected movement and lead to your defeat. Take note of the following enemies:

• Arval has Atk/Res Oath 4 which allows warping to nearby allies.
• The Sword Fighter on turn one has Even Tempest 3 to receive +1 movement on even numbered turns.
• The Sword Fighter on turn two has Wings of Mercy 3 to warp adjacent to any wounded ally in the map.
• The Green Bat on turn two can transform and receive +1 movement upon meeting the transform conditions.
• The Green Fafnir on turn four has Even Tempest 3 to receive +1 movement on even numbered turns.
• The Axe Knight on turn four has Assault Troop 3 to move up to three spaces in cardinal directions.

Legendary Edelgard	Axe Armored Raging Storm can grant one additional action after combat. Inheriting Galeforce can grant a third action per turn.
Ninja Corrin (F)	Green Tome Cavalry Ninjutsu Scrolls' brave effect can quickly defeat enemies. Duo Skill grants herself an additional action.
Ninja Lyn	Colorless Dagger Flying Tailwind Shuriken's brave effect can quickly defeat enemies. Duo Skill grants herself an additional action.
Legendary Leif	Colorless Bow Cavalry Meisterbogen's brave effect can quickly defeat enemies. Njörun's Zeal grants himself an additional action when triggered.
Brave Marianne	Colorless Tome Infantry Requiem Dance grants a nearby ally an additional action.

Savior Tank Units

Unit Name
Brave Hector	Lance Armored The king of blue tank units. Can counterattack at a distance, deny enemy follow-ups, and have his own follow-up attack.
Ascended Idunn	Blue Breath Armored A Brave Hector that attacks with magic damage and has higher base stats.
Ascended Fjorm	Axe Armored Can heal post-combat with Nifl's Bite and mitigate damage with Ice Mirror and Hardy Fighter 3. Nifl's Bite allows a counterattack against sweep effects.
Rearmed Robin (F)	Colorless Breath Armored Deals magic damage to melee foes and adaptive damage to ranged foes. Very high Spd stat and Hardy Fighter 3 prevents enemy follow-up attacks. Can equip Dist. Counter (D) Sacred Seal to retaliate against ranged foes.
Caineghis	Colorless Beast Armored Can retaliate against ranged foes when transformed. Refined Lion King Fang gives incredible bulk. Is not affected by Arval's weapon-triangle advantage and attacks the lower Def stat.

Brave Lucina	Lance Infantry Grants bonus stats and Special acceleration to nearby allies. Can double as an offensive unit with refined Geirskögul dealing effective damage against dragon foes.
Corrin (M)	Sword Infantry Grants bonus stats to his Ally Support during combat.
Summer Hilda	Staff Flying Grants Atk+6 and Special acceleration to nearby allies during combat.
