When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
As a hero obtainable only through Grand Hero Battle, Haar will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
The best IVs for Haar are +Atk and -Res. A +Atk IV maximizes the damage he deals with his double-hit weapons. As mainly an offensive unit, increasing damage is a no-brainer so you should take this IV whenever possible. Since he is a free unit, you need to spend Trait Fruits to get these IVs.
His Res is very low and is of less importance so it is safe to take as a bane.
We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Haar to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. With +10 merges, Haar's Atk stat will reach 53. This maximizes the abilities of Haar and allows him to take out a wide variety of opponents in one player phase.

Refined Tempest's Claw grants additional Atk/Def bonuses during combat, true damage reduction equal to 15% of Haar's Def, and a 【Guard】 effect onto his foe.
These effects make Haar into a sturdier tank unit than before. True damage reduction is a very powerful effect that improves survivability like no other.

Haar is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Haar's Atk is at a base 37 This synergizes well with the effects of Brave Axe+ as the weapon grants him a second strike! We recommend increasing his Atk further by inheriting a skill like Death Blow 3.
37 Atk, is without the weapon. If mentioned weapon is equipped, his Atk will be at 45.
Guard 3 inflicts special cooldown charge -1 per attack if Haar's HP ≥ 80% at the start of combat. This allows Haar and his allies to take less damage from enemies. This skill is also very helpful in Grand Hero Battles where delaying enemy specials is very important as enemy specials in those maps are very powerful.
Additionally, this makes Haar a great match-up for units running set-ups that make specials very quick to trigger such as Slaying Edge+ or Brave Sword as the weapon skill and slapping Sacred Seals such as Flashing Blade and Quickened Pulse for quick Moonbow or Glimmer activations.
Haar can grant a +6 Def buff to allies around him on odd-numbered turns. That is a pretty high buff considering how easy it is to trigger. With it, he reaches an amazing 42 Def on said turns. Strategize accordingly! Dive into enemy lines when Odd Def Wave 3 is online.
Haar'sRes only sits at 2 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for magic users to take him out. Be mindful of Haar's positioning in relation to magical units that can easily take him out. Despite his attribute, he can still be taken out by stronger blue magic units because of his low Res stat.
As a flying unit, Haar takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. Be sure to keep them out of the range of archers and leave them to other units.

Haar can be used to inherit the skills Guard 3 or Odd Def Wave 3. However, you can only acquire Haar from Grand Hero Battles or from using Heroic Grails, so think carefully before foddering him off.
Haar is a Hero who, for a limited time, can be obtained through completing a Grand Hero Battle for the first time. They do not appear in regular summons. After the event has ended, they can be obtained by using Heroic Grails.
