When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

Neutral IVs by default!

As a hero obtainable only through Grand Hero Battle, Haar will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.

+Atk/-Res

The best IVs for Haar are +Atk and -Res. A +Atk IV maximizes the damage he deals with his double-hit weapons. As mainly an offensive unit, increasing damage is a no-brainer so you should take this IV whenever possible. Since he is a free unit, you need to spend Trait Fruits to get these IVs.

His Res is very low and is of less importance so it is safe to take as a bane.

+Atk for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Haar to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. With +10 merges, Haar's Atk stat will reach 53. This maximizes the abilities of Haar and allows him to take out a wide variety of opponents in one player phase.

53 Atk is when he has Brave Axe+ equipped.

Haar is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Haar Strengths

Refined Tempest's Claw improves bulk and attacks twice

Haar's base Tempest's Claw is a 10 Mt Brave Axe+ that removes Haar's flying weakness and instead turns it into a weakness against Blue Tome units.

When refined, Tempest's Claw grants additional Atk/Def bonuses during combat, true damage reduction equal to 15% of Haar's Def, and slows down his foe's Special cooldown charges per attack during combat.

True damage reduction is an integral part of most metagame-relevant tanks in this game, and Haar receiving it makes him useful as a unit compared to other tanks without this effect.

Haar'sRes only sits at 18 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for magic users to take him out. Be mindful of Haar's positioning in relation to magical units that can easily take him out. Despite his true damage reduction effect, he can still be taken out by stronger blue magic units because of his low Res stat and his weakness to them.
