Winter Ephraim is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Winter Ephraim Strengths

Strong Solo Unit

Festive Siegmund grants Winter Ephraim +4 to all stats if he is not adjacent to an ally at the start of combat. Atk/Def Solo 3 grants another additional +6 Atk/Def under the same conditions.

Both those add up to +4 Spd/Res, +10 Atk/Def with a potential guaranteed follow-up attack from Bold Fighter 3 if Winter Ephraim initiates the attack.This makes him very straightforward and easy to use but powerful offensive character.

Guaranteed Follow-up Attacks

If Winter Ephraim initiates combat, she makes a guaranteed follow-up attack because of Bold Fighter 3. In addition to that, the skill grants her +1 special cooldown charge. This works well with Dragon Fang as it is a very powerful special, especially on Winter Ephraim, but it has a high cooldown count of 4.

Winter Ephraim Weaknesses

Armor March Interaction a bit Tricky

Armor March is a common skill to have on teams that make use of armored units. However, Armor March requires armored units to be adjacent to one another at the start of the turn to allow for the extra movement. Two of Winter Ephraim's skills allow him to be not adjacent to allies once combat starts so be mindful and keep these to guidelines in mind to make best use of Winter Ephraim!

1. Winter Ephraim must be adjacent to an ally at the start of the turn with Armor March to allow for the enhanced movement range
2. To make use of Bold Fighter and his skills that require him to not be adjacent to allies, make use of the extra movement from Armor March to engage the enemy and be out of range of allied units.
3. If possible, move the ally with Armor March next to Ephraim in time for the next turn for Armor March to be active on him the the next turn. Repeat.

Weak to Armor Effective Weapons

Winter Ephraim takes 1.5x damage from armor-effective weapons like Armorslayer+, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him/her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
