When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Hinata are +Def and -Res. A +Def allows him to survive blows even from powerful physical blue units. Tanking attacks from physical blue units means that Hinata can deal with a ton of units in the game. Res is not important for him as he is not built to take magical damage so it is safe to take as a bane.

A straightforward build that makes Hinata an effective physical check in the enemy phase. Try not to initiate with this build on as he is significantly more fragile in the player phase. You can also go for Mystic Boost 3, or Renewal 3 in the Seal slot to mitigate the damage from the spec. eff. refine. If you want to keep Steady Breath in the seal slot, just pair him up with a unit who can heal him.

The special effect refine for Hinata's Katana gives it a Fury 3 built-in effect that stacks with his native Fury 3 in the A slot. Click here to go to Hinata's Strengths and Weaknesses section to learn how this special effect refine plays a role in his kit!

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Hinata is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Hinata's native A skill is Fury 3 which grants him +3 to all stats, but inflicts -6 HP every time he exits combat. The special refinement effect for Hinata's Katana gives the same effect. This in total is +6 Atk/Spd/Def/Res, but it deals -12 HP to him after combat. A good statline allows him to be deadly in both phases, but make sure to pair him up with healers to make up for the after-combat damage. Reyson or Leanne also makes a great support unit for Hinata as they are both dancers that provide passive healing.
Hinata has a naturally high Def stat at 36. He also gets an additional +10 Def in total from his skills when attacked by an enemy. This in total is 46 Def for an unmerged, unassisted infantry unit. This amazing statline allows Hinata to act as a physical tank with infantry movement.
Hinata's Res only sits at 18 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for magic users to take him out. Be mindful of Hinata's positioning in relation to magical units that can easily take him out.

Hey there! Just wanna throw a whole bucket of thanks on you for putting me in battle a lot. You know I live for that, and that sorta thing helps me keep my skills sharp, {Summoner}! Have to admit that when I first landed here, I was all kinds of homesick. I mean, seriously! This place doesn’t have anything good from Hoshido! No dojos. No miso soup. But you know what? I love this place now, even without the soup! Good for a guy to open up to new things, right? Otherwise, life’s just dull. Besides, battling strong foes from so many worlds helps me get better at protecting Lord Takumi. Ha! Don’t think I forgot about you. Me and my katana? We are SO here to keep you safe! |
