While Bug Medal is equipped, the locations of bugs in your current area are now visible on your map.
Bugs revealed by the Bug Medal are indicated by a green ⚫ with Insect Detected written when hovered.

Effects: Shows the location of bugs on the map. |
Beedle will sell a Bug Medal in his shop for 1000 Rupees.
How to Go to Beedle's Shop | Beedle's Shop Items
The Bug Medal provides passive effects when equipped on the Adventure Pouch. Simply add the Bug Medal on a free Adventure Pouch slot to activate its effect.
If your Adventure Pouch is already full prior to getting the Bug Medal, it will be stored by Peatrice, who is managing the Item Check inside the Bazaar.
Simply talk to Peatrice and retrieve your Bug Medal to your Adventure Pouch.
