This guide will show you how to beat Deku Hornet, an enemy in the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD for the Nintendo Switch. Read on to learn where to find Deku Hornet, drops for beating it, as well as strategy for beating it.

How to Beat Deku Hornet
Deku Hornets cannot be defeated with a sword. Instead, use the Bug Net to collect them.

Deku Hornets are special catchable Bugs that attack you when you approach their nest. Either destroy, carry, or stay away from their nest and the Deku Hornets will not mind you.

Note that swatting Deku Hornets with your sword will not damage nor beat them, so you must make use of your Bug Net, or run away as fast as possible.

As Deku Hornets are unable to be beaten, use your Bug Net to catch every Deku Hornets. Doing so will give you the Bug item, Deku Hornet.

Carry the Deku Hornet nest away

With the Beetle, you can instead carry the Deku Hornet nest away from your path.

You can also use Deku Hornet nest to let the swarm distract and attack Bokoblins. You can accomplish this by smashing the nest to a Bokoblin with a Beetle.
