- 300m or less remaining
- Positioned around the 40% (2nd-4th in 9-gate CM/2-5th in 12-gate TT) of the pack and has a runner in front of you.
To secure a consistent activation of this skill, the user should be a Pace Chaser, as it is the closest to the front and will be the easiest running style to activate this skill.

Is Sakura Chiyono O (Strength in Full Bloom) Worth It
Pull Only if You Want a Medium Runner for Team Trials
Sakura Chiyono O (Strength in Full Bloom) is an overall decent Medium runner who has the aptitude and skills to improve her performance on these tracks. Her Unique Skill is easy to activate as she only needs to be close to whoever is in front of her in the last 300m of the race, but it is not a particularly powerful skill to pass down.
One of her main issues is that her second rare skill, Spring Spectacle, is limited to the Spring season only, so it's not a very reliable skill for Team Trials. However, the rest of her innate skills make her a fair performer even without it.

Train in the Unity Cup Scenario
When training Sakura Chiyono O (Strength in Full Bloom), use the brand new Unity Cup scenario to take advantage of the new Spirit Burst mechanic. This not only lets you gain more stats than normal, but can also provide useful Skill Hints.
Run Her as Pace Chaser
Running Sakura Chiyono O (Strength in Full Bloom) as a Pace Chaser is the best choice, as she has access to Pace Chaser skills, as well as an A-rank aptitude for the running style. Additionally, her Unique Skill activates when she is well-positioned and close to the runner ahead with 300m or less remaining, which she can easily achieve by running as a Pace Chaser.
Be Aware of Japan Cup and Arima Kinen
Sakura Chiyono O has the Japan Cup as a career goal and can optionally take the Arima Kinen in the Senior Year for a hidden event. However, Maruzensky and Mr. C.B. will participate in the Japan Cup and Arima Kinen in their Senior Year, respectively. They have much higher stats compared to the competition, which can make it difficult to win against them. You will need to win these races so you can unlock Sakura Chiyono O (Strength in Full Bloom)'s Hidden events in these races.
Additionally, Arima Kinen is a Long race, and you would need to raise Sakura Chiyono O's aptitude for this distance to stand a chance.
Choose Race After Classic Autumn Tenno Sho
You can choose between Yasuda Kinen (Mile) or Takarazuka Kinen (Medium) as your next objective after the Classic Tenno Sho (Autumn).
Note that choosing any is fine since the rewards that you will get are the same.
Aim for Potential Level 3
Sakura Chiyono O has Speed Star, which can be unlocked by reaching Potential Level 3, as it will can be helpful Team Trials.

We highly recommend also having a rare Recovery Skill like Swinging Maestro or Gourmand for her Medium races.
It is important to note that if you cannot reach the stats recommended above, you can instead aim for a similar stat distribution. You can then compensate for the missing stats using skills.

Unity Cup Build
This is a recommended formation if you want to develop high overall stats in the Unity Cup. This build can be a bit challenging for new players to have since you will need to pull for them, but if you are successful, you can develop an Umamusume with very high stats.
Budget Build
This deck is for players who are starting out and are still trying to get a feel of the game's mechanics and intricacies. This deck can help you get the needed stats to clear the career, while also providing important skills.
Take advantage of the game's borrowing feature to borrow a powerful MLB SSR, like Kitasan Black. Additionally, if you do not have an MLB copy of Riko Kashimoto (Tracen Academy), it would be better to use another SR Stamina card instead.

Aside from those, it is recommended to have a Medium spark, as most of her races are Medium tracks.
You can use either your own Veterans, or borrow the ones from your friends. If you do not have Veterans with full sparks, you can go with whatever you have access to.

Sakura Chiyono O (Strength in Full Bloom) has a secret event that occurs if you manage to win the Tenno Sho (Autumn) during Classic Year. You can also choose between Yasuda Kinen and Takarazuka Kinen as your next race.
Alternatively, there are also other variations of this event, but they give fewer stats if you place 2nd or lower.

Aim to get this Hidden Event if you are building Sakura Chiyono O for Mile, as Shifting Gears is a very good skill.
