Increase velocity when positioned toward the front after making it to the final straight without faltering. |
|---|
To activate Mihono Bourbon's unique skill, she must not have a Late Start, or be Rushed at any point during the race. She must also be positioned 3rd or better on the final straight of the track to get a boost in velocity.
To help keep her from getting Rushed, aim to have a good amount of Wit stat. To reduce Late Starts, give her the skill Focus or Concentration.

When training Mihono Bourbon, use the brand new Trackblazer (MANT) scenario, as this will allow you to get higher stats than before. Try to participate in 30 to 35 races during your career runs while making sure to prioritize winning G1 races.
Mihono Bourbon's B aptitude for Mile and Long races will allow rivals to appear in them. While increasing her aptitude for both lengths to A can help her performance in those races become more stable, it is not required.
Trackblazer (Make a New Track) Scenario Guide
Mihono Bourbon has an A aptitude on the Front Runner running style. She also has access to Front Runner skills like Taking the Lead and skills that activate when she is toward the front like Trackblazer.
As such, run Mihono Bourbon as a Front Runner to fully maximize her potential.
It is recommended to max out her Potential level to give you access to Trackblazer, a useful stamina skill for Medium runners. However, if you do not have the Monies or materials to do so, try to unlock Potential Level 3 for the speed skill, Taking the Lead.
As Mihono Bourbon will be part of your Medium Team Trial team, it is important to improve her Medium aptitude using Legacy Sparks to maximize her performance. Increasing her Front aptitude from A to S is also ideal as this will be her main running style throughout her races.
She has three Long races in her career, so it is an option to improve her Long aptitude to A using Legacy Sparks to make sure she performs well in them. One Legacy Spark is enough to upgrade her aptitude.
Legacy and Sparks Guide: Inheritance Explained

Since Mihono Bourbon will be part of your Medium team in Team Trials as a Front Runner, we recommend getting the stats above so she has enough Speed and Power to stay in front of the pack. A gold recovery skill like Swinging Maestro or Trackblazer is recommended to help keep her stamina topped up throughout the race.
While training Mihono Bourbon, make sure to have at least 400 stamina before the Kikuka Sho on Classic Year Late October, and at least 500 stamina before the Tenno Sho (Spring) on Senior Year Late April to help you win both races. This should also give you enough Stamina for the Arima Kinen.
If you are only planning to clear a career run with Mihono Bourbon, then you can aim for lower stat numbers, as the stats above are for Team Trials.
Training Guide: Which Stats to Train?
For Support cards, we recommend a Speed-Wit deck consisting of 2 Speed and 3 Wit cards, as well as 1 Race Bonus filler. This will allow Mihono Bourbon to get the Speed and Power she needs for her Medium races, as well as enough Wit to improve her skill activation, prevent getting Rushed, and help her keep her position. The filler cards can be for any stat as long as you have at least 50 Race Bonus.
Due to the nature of the Trackblazer (MANT) Scenario, it is important to prioritize cards with high Race Bonus.
This deck consists mostly of SR cards and free SSR cards, and is meant for players who do not have many SSR Support Cards. Despite the lower rarity, this deck can still hold up and perform well in the latest scenario. Silence Suzuka is a good budget Speed card as she can provide hints for Trackblazer, as well as other Front Runner skills.
Take advantage of the game's borrowing feature to borrow a powerful MLB SSR, like Kitasan Black (Fire at My Heels). However, Matikane Fukukitaru (Touching Sleeves Is Good Luck! ♪) can also work.
These cards will help Mihono Bourbon level her needed Stats (especially with Rainbow/Friendship Training), as well as provide some needed skills. Try to prioritize cards with a high Race Bonus, as you want at least 50% Race Bonus in your deck.
If you plan to run the Unity Cup, we recommend using either a Speed-Power deck or a Speed-Wit deck to help Mihono Bourbon get the stats she needs.
Unity Cup (Aoharu Hai) Scenario Guide
If you plan to run the URA Finale, we recommend using either a Speed-Power or a Speed-Stamina deck to help Mihono Bourbon get the stats she needs.

Try to get Stamina and Power sparks when picking legacies for Mihono Bourbon to help her get the Stamina and Power she needs. If you find yourself having a hard time improving her Stamina, you can swap some Power sparks for Stamina sparks.
For race length and running style sparks, get Medium and Front Runner sparks to potentially improve them from A to S. Getting at least 1 Long spark can help you perform better in her Long races (and in the Trackblazer scenario), but this is not required.
Additionally, you can also get at least 1 Mile spark so that Mihono Bourbon's performance in Mile races during the Trackblazer scenario will be more stable. This is, however, not required, as she can still perform well without it.
You can use either your own Veterans, or borrow the ones from your friends. If you do not have Veterans with full sparks, you can go with whatever you have access to.
It is ideal to get skills that help Mihono Bourbon go to the front and stay there. Early race skills like Taking the Lead can help her accelerate to the front, and can be used to activate Groundwork alongside Focus and Front Runner Savvy. Other Green Skills can be used based on what race you want to use her on.
Once she enters the mid-race, velocity skills will help her keep her position. This includes corner skills like Front Runner and Medium Corners, as well as Professor of Curvature. Escape Artist, Playtime's Over!, and Up-Tempo are other velocity skills that can help Mihono Bourbon keep her place.
As for recovery skills, you will want at least one for her Long races. Trackblazer will be your best pick, especially since Mihono Bourbon has easy access to the skill.
If you cannot get the recommended skills, you can replace them with similar skills that you have access to. You will just need to make sure that Mihono Bourbon can activate said skills in a race.

If you get her 9 turf sparks, she can easily do 30 races with a wide variety of G1's. I did it by accident whereas I had Goldshi do a doomed run to manage the same feat.
