Modern Warfare 2 - How to Get Objective Defense Kills

The easiest way to get objective defense kills is to hunker down and camp your objective. Use equipment to deter pushes and kill anyone trying to take your control point for easy objective defense kills.

You will know if you got an objective defense kill if your EXP feed after killing someone displays DEFENSE. Keep an eye out for this to track how many defense kills you managed to get after the match.

Kill Enemy Players Trying to Take Your Team's Control Point

Another way to get defense kills is to kill enemies who are actively trying to capture your control point. Listen to the in-game announcer. If it says you are losing one of your control points, head for it to contest the enemy and hopefully get a few objective defense kills for your troubles.

Tips for Getting Objective Defense Kills

Objective Defense Kill Tips

Play Domination, Hardpoint, or Ground War for Easy Kills

Some of the easier game modes you can play to rack up objective defense kills are Domination, Hardpoint, and Ground War. Game modes like Free-For-All or TDM will not allow you to get objective defense kills. If you need to get this type of kills for a challenge, stick to these 3 modes for easier challenge progress.

Play the Objective Instead of Pushing

While Call of Duty may be known for rotating around the map and positioning yourself based on enemy spawns, you will need to resist and hunker down to get objective defense kills. As the name suggests, you will need to play the objective instead of pushing for kills if you want to get objective defense kills.

Camp Using Equipment and Field Upgrades

All is fair when trying to rack up objective defense kills for in-game challenges. Resort to camping your team's objective in order to maximize your defense kills with each map. Set up Claymores, Proximity Mines, or Suppression Mines to make getting kills easier, especially when the enemy team liks pushing the objective.
