Sariff Bay has a lot of buildings with second floor windows that have a clear line of sight of majority of the control points. You can defend and hold the target points from here with either an Assault Rifle or a Sniper Rifle in your arsenal.
It might also help to place claymores right at the entrance of the room that you have settled in to prevent any enemies from sneaking up on you.
Unlike other Ground War maps, the rooftops in Sariff Bay provide excellent cover due to the height of the ledges.
You can use this as cover when engaging in sniper battles with enemy marksmen positioned at other buildings.
However, this will also limit your vision as you might not be able to snipe opponents that are positioned directly below you.
