Press and Hold the Left D-Pad on Controller or I on PC to Inspect

Keyboard (PC)	Press I on your keyboard.
Controller (Playstation / Xbox)	Press and hold the (Left D-PAD)

To inspect your weapon in MW2 Multiplayer, Warzone, or DMZ, simply press and hold the Left D-Pad (controller) or I on PC to inspect the weapon. A short animation will play that showcases your weapon and its equipped skin.

Can You Inspect Weapons in Campaign?

Unfortunately, weapon inspection is not and won't be available for the campaign. In campaign mode, the only way to inspect your weapon is to switch them out to drop them on the ground. This will allow you to see how they look.
