1 | Move through the tunnels to infiltrate the base. Laser tripwires are spread throughout. You'll need to use smoke grenades to see them. For the first set of tripwires, just crouch to get past. Press the disarm button that's stuck to a wall. |
---|---|
2 | For the second set, use pipes as cover from the laser to avoid getting tagged. |
3 | For the third set, time your movement to when both lasers pass some pipes. Go in between them and cross to the other side of the path. |
4 | Take out some enemies in the next area. |
5 | The next room will have the last set of tripwires. Go prone to avoid getting tagged. An enemy will appear as you get close to the disarm button. |
6 | Climb up a ladder to exit the tunnels then take out two enemies beside a helicopter. |
7 | Approach the hangar then enter the access code. |
8 | Now as Soap, use the Spotter Scope to identify targets for the helicopter. Mark the gate to gain entry into the compound. |
9 | Use the Spotter Scope again to destroy a building with several enemies. |
10 | Make your way past the building and approach the large radio tower. Mark it as a target to bring it down and clear out enemies. |
11 | Move in to the barracks to the west. Take out all the enemies in this building. |
12 | Mark the APC in front of the Command Center to destroy it and clear the area. |
13 | Once cleared, move to the front door and prepare to breach. |
14 | Back as Gaz, enter the hangar and kill all enemies inside. |
15 | After exiting the hangar, move across the airfield while using trucks as cover. |
16 | Approach Hangar 03 and enter the code to get in. |
17 | Kill all the enemies inside to secure the container that has Valeria. |
18 | As Soap again, fight through the Command Center. Make sure you don't take too long here or Graves will escape. |
19 | Exit the Command Center and get over a wall to reach the Training Area. Graves will be here but inside a tank. You can obtain the Practice Makes Perfect Achievement here by taking out all the shooting targets. |
20 | Find orange crates spread across the area that contain C4. Explosives are the only way to damage the tank. |
21 | Hit Graves at least 4 times with C4 to kill him and complete the mission. If you're finding it difficult to get close to the tank, lure it to the buildings and drop the C4 from the roof. There is also an RPG at the back of the training area that you can use. |
Realism Difficulty Tips |
---|
|
Gaz's starting loadout consists of suppressed weapons. Stick to using these throughout his sequences to more easily handle firefights. Remain crouched as you sneak through areas and take out isolated enemies first. Since it'll only be you and Alejandro together, stealth will be the best strategy against being outnumbered.
When playing as Soap, you'll have access to Armor Plates that increase your health. Make sure you equip these to give yourself more protection. If you run out, you can find a crate containing a set of them in each building you enter. Remember to equip these after picking them up since it's not automatic.
While you need to use the Spotter Scope to take out buildings and important targets, you can also mark infantry to easily clear them out. This makes it safer to move to your next objectives.
You'll be fighting lots of enemies that will be coming from several directions. Instead of staying out in the open or using small pieces of cover, move into buildings to maximize your survivability. Make sure the building's clear before fighting enemies outside. Buildings will provide vantage points to easily attack from.
When moving from room to room, make it a habit to throw a flashbang in before entering. This makes it safer for you to go in blind since enemies will be stunned. This is particularly important in Realism since you can die in just a few hits if enemies have a clear sight on you.
When fighting Graves, you'll have a difficult time throwing C4 at him from the ground level since you'll be barraged with tank gunfire as well as enemy infantry in the area. Upon picking up C4, head to the rooftop of a building and toss it down to the tank.
This is a safer method since you can just back away to the stairwell if the tank starts aiming at you. Remember, the C4 does not have to stick to the tank to deal damage.
You can find an RPG-7 at the very back of the training area, inside a small concrete tunnel. Use this to get an easy hit on Graves. You'll only have one rocket so make it count.
To obtain Practice Makes Perfect, you'll need to shoot out all the targets in the Training Area. The Training Area is where you fight Graves while he's in a tank. The targets are metal boards with a design of an enemy holding a gun.
The mission will end once you destroy the tank so you'll need to take all of them out beforehand. It can be difficult to find them while avoiding gunfire so prioritize clearing targets that are indoors before going for the ones outside. Move from house to house to make sure you don't miss any.
