How to Make Cloaks in Manor Lords

Steps in Cloak Production

To produce and distribute Cloaks in Manor Lords, you first need to construct buildings that can produce Dyes and Yarn. Next you'll want to build a Tailor's Workshop extension on a Level 2 Burgage Plot. It looks easy with only three steps, but we'll break down each step for you.

  1. Acquire Dyes
  2. Acquire Yarn
  3. Build a Tailor's Workshop

How to Get Dyes

Dyes are easy to acquire as long as you have a Berry Deposit nearby. All you need is a Forager's Hut and a Dyer's Workshop to produce Dyes.

  1. Find a nearby Berry Deposit
  2. Make sure you have a Forager's Hut
  3. Build a Dyer's Workshop near the Forager's Hut

Find a nearby Berry Deposit

Make sure that your region has a nearby Berry Deposit. Having it near your settlement center makes it easier for the collection and transportation of Berries.

Make sure you have a Forager's Hut

Material(s) Quantity
Timber x1

As one of the primary sources of Food, you need to have a Forager's Hut in your colony. If it's farther away, production may take longer due to the time needed to transport the collected Berries from the forest to the Forager's Hut.

A Dyer's Workshop cannot do its function alone. It does not collect Berries from the Berry Deposit like the Forager's Hut; instead, it only gets its supply of Berries from the hut itself. Having them closer together greatly shortens the time needed to transport Berries from one building to the other.

How to Get Yarn

Yarn takes a little long. However, its production is also one of the most practical ways to generate Regional Wealth passively.

  1. Build a Pasture and Sheep Farm
  2. Build a Livestock Trading Post
  3. Build a Weaver's Workshop
  4. Generate Regional Wealth using Sheep (optional)

Build a Pasture and Sheep Farm

Start with building a Pasture and Sheep Farm anywhere in your settlement assign even just 1 family to oversee the Sheep. You can set your Pasture to be as small or big as you want, it won't matter. Although, you won't have Sheep immediately when you build these buildings.

Build a Livestock Trading Post

Material(s) Quantity
Timber x2

To get your first Sheep, you'll have to build a Livestock Trade Post and import a couple of Sheep or even just one if you don't have enough Regional Wealth. After acquiring Sheep it will be transfered to your Pasture. After some time, you'll start collecting Wool.

Build a Weaver's Workshop

Material(s) Quantity

While you wait for the Sheep Farm to produce Wool, it's a good time to start building a Weaver's Workshop to produce Yarn. Once you have enough, you can then build the last production building needed to produce Cloaks.

Generate Regional Wealth with Sheep

This step is completely optional. You can skip this if your settlement already generates enough Regional Wealth to purchase a Tailor's Workshop.

The only thing missing now is Tailor's Workshop to produce Cloaks. All you need now is a Level 2 Burgage Plot, 5 Planks, and 5 Regional Wealth in order to build one. It only takes 4 Timber to upgrade to a Burgage Plot Level 2 if you still don't have one.
