How to Use Forager Hut

Build Near a Berry Deposit and Granary

Once you have spotted where the Berry deposit is in your region, proceed to construct your Forager Hut as close to it as possible. Doing this will effectively make the berry picking process faster for your gatherers.

It is also optimal to build your Granary near your Forager Hut to make the storage of berries more efficient and distributable to the Marketplace once both are connected to the main road.

Add a Herb Garden

Upgrading your Forager Hut to have a Herb Garden will be useful for when any or all of your settlers are struck with a disease.

What to Do if Herbs Do Not Show Up in Forager Hut

The reason why Herbs do not appear in your Forager Hut may be because your workers have already transported them into the Granary.

If this is not the case, wait a few in-game months to see if your workers have any yield as it usually takes some time for it to be gathered.

Stop Foraging During Winter

Berries are a Seasonal resource and will only begin to regrow once Spring comes around in March lasting until May.

During the Winter, it's best to unassign families from the Forager Hut when berries are depleted and allocate them to buildings that may need more manpower. Just be careful not to forget to reassign them back during Spring.
