How to Use Granary

Stores Food Resources for Your Settlement

The Granary's sole purpose is to store various food resources for your settlement. The Granary can store all food items, including crops, crafting materials (like Grain and Flour), and even Ale.

Having your food resources in a Granary also protects it from weather conditions, which is great especially at the start to store your starting food resources away from Rain.

How to Get Food

Choose What Resources to Store in Advanced Tab

You can also choose which food resources are stored in your Granary via the Advanced Tab. This allows you to organize your food supplies effectively, especially if you have multiple Granaries for your village.

You can remove Crafting Materials like Grain and Flour from your Granary, to ensure that these go straight to Windmills and Bakeries immediately.

Upgrade Granary for More Storage Space

Upgrading your Granary is an amazing investment once your settlement is up and running. The upgrade only requires some easy to acquire materials, and increases your storage capacity from 250 to 2500.

Build Near the Marketplace

Having your Granary close to the Marketplace reduces the travel time between your storage and the distribution center of your settlement. This ensures that food stored in the Granary reach the Market in time, reducing the risk of your population starving, or just generally losing approval.

Description and Effects
Workers collect, store, and distribute goods using the Pantry. Stores up to 500 food resources or Ale. If needed, they will also automatically set up stalls on the marketplace to distribute the stored goods to Burgage Plots. Can be upgraded to Large Granary for 5 Timber, 10 Planks and 5 Stone, which increases the resources capacity to 2500.
